Activity #1
The 7 1/2 Habits
As a lifelong learner and a believer that technology enhances learning, I find myself multitasking more often that I care to admit. While watching TV, for example, it is not uncommon to find myself researching topics that emerge during a show. Some of my best tools, I have encountered while exploring, therefore, the habit that resonate with me the most is habit #7 ½. I am also a problem solver by nature and enjoy troubleshooting and finding solutions habit #3. While these are great strengths, I struggle with beginning the discovery process with an end in mind, habit # 1. I find this difficult because it makes me feel constricted and it is not as enjoyable as exploring new tools and their possibilities. During this course I hope to change old “habits” and acquire new ones along with skills to enhance my students’ learning. As I become more confident and explore the possibility of serving as a mentor habit #4 & 7 I will try to embrace blogging, which is something that gets me out of my comfort zone.

I, too, feel uncomfortable about this whole blogging process. It is kind of funny that I am constantly on my students to do their blogging for Issues class yet I had never done one and had the "fear" of putting words out there for everyone to see.
